Formatting Guidelines

Please have a look on our formatting guidelines before submitting your article to avoid unnecessary delays.

1. Manuscript Preparation

1.1 General Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Use Times New Roman font throughout the document.
  • Font size should be 12 points.
  • Double-space the entire manuscript, including text, references, tables, and figure legends.
  • It is advised to keep your article between 1500 and 2000 words, excluding references.

1.2 Title

  • Include a concise and informative title that reflects the content of the manuscript. Avoid misleading ‘catchy’ titles.
  • List all authors’ full names and affiliations.
  • Provide the corresponding author’s name, complete mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

1.3 Abstract

  • The abstract should be structured and concise, not exceeding 250 words.
  • Clearly state the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.

1.4 Keywords

  • Provide 3 to 5 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
  • Keywords should be listed below the abstract.

2. Manuscript Structure

2.1 Introduction

  • Provide background information and rationale for the study.
  • Clearly state the research question or hypothesis.

2.2 Methods

  • Describe the study design, participants, interventions, and data analysis methods in detail.
  • Include ethical approval and informed consent statements, if applicable.

2.3 Results

  • Present the findings of the study in a logical sequence.
  • Use tables and figures to enhance clarity and conciseness.

2.4 Discussion

  • Interpret the results in the context of existing literature.
  • Discuss the implications of the findings and any limitations of the study.

2.5 Conclusion

  • Summarize the main findings and their significance.
  • Avoid speculation and unsupported claims.

3. References

  • Follow the Vancouver style for referencing.
  • Number references consecutively in the order they appear in the text.
  • Provide DOI numbers for all available references.
  • List all authors when there are six or fewer; when there are seven or more, list the first six followed by “et al.”

4. Tables and Figures

  • Number tables and figures consecutively in the order they are mentioned in the text.
  • Provide clear and concise titles for each table and figure.
  • Ensure that tables and figures are referenced appropriately in the text.

5. Acknowledgement and funding

  • Include any acknowledgments and funding sources.

6. Manuscript Submission

  • Submit manuscripts online through email.
  • You would expect an immediate acknowledgement of receiving your article, with a formal acceptance or rejection within 10 working days.
